Shihan Bernie Fritz is National Director for Independent Karate Schools of America. He is a 9th degree black belt and founder of Freestyle United Arts, a martial arts system that incorporates elements of Tae Kwon Do, Pentjak Silat, Tai-Chi, Kyusho Jitsu and many other arts. Shihan Fritz runs Pardeeville Martial Arts in Pardeeville, Wisconsin. He has recently expanded his program to include stress management and health and fitness.  For an overall well rounded Martial Arts experience.

A popular seminar instructor, Shihan Fritz teaches self-defense, concepts from his founded art, Freestyle United Arts, sparring  techniques and strategies, martial arts philosophy and concepts, stress management and even does motivational speaking. He teaches regular sessions of Tai Chi at Divine Savior Hospital, Portage, Wisconsin.  Shihan Fritz is a very sought after instructor and has taught many seminars throughout the United States and has even traveled to Denmark to teach.

Over thirty years in the martial arts have brought him much success. Shihan Fritz has been inducted into Actions Martial Arts Hall of Fame, IKSA Hall of Fame and 3 time inductee into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame. He has been presented in Black Belt magazine many times and is featured in the book "Everyday Warriors", written by Ruth Hunter and published by Turtle Press. His many years in the national tournament competition brought him many trophies and much respect from well known competitors all over.  He believes his greatest achievement is his students and the number of people he has touched through his love of life, learning and teaching his martial arts.
